I feel like I’ve all I’ve spoken about recently is our epic road trip in Australia, but I’ve experienced so many different feelings and I’ve been inspired by so many occurrences, that I just can’t not talk about it. I’m back in Brisbane now – my second home, and I’ve had a few days to reflect on everything we’ve seen and done in our trusty Mitsubishi Lancer. I’ve managed to narrow it down to six of my favourite moments, and must sees if you ever decide to road trip in Aus.

My First Road Trip – Tips and Tricks You Should Know

It has almost been a month, three weeks exactly, since I embarked on my first real road trip, and what better way to do it than in Australia. We packed our bags just after Christmas in Brisbane, and set off to Sydney, to Melbourne and then to The Great Ocean Road, before travelling back to Brisbane on Sunday morning, stopping off at locations we missed on the way down.

The Road Trip Series – Brisbane to Melbourne

I love long drives. Growing up I used to mither my dad to take me on an afternoon drive every Sunday, and still now I love it just as much. However, drives in Australia are very different, in more ways then one. Not only is the scenery slightly better than the grey skies that cover Greater Manchester, to get from A to B takes hoursssss. A few months ago, before we even came to Australia, we booked a hotel in Sydney to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks and took this trip as an opportunity to travel to Melbourne, too.
